A mysterious guest. A girl. A journey. A surprising revelation.

Morton is a young boy who lives alone at the edge of a dark forest with his four prized clockwork animals. When a huge storm destroys his hut and scatters his possessions, Morton sets out to locate his treasures.

On his quest, Morton makes a friend, learns how to defeat monsters, remembers how to smile and fi nds that there may be more to life than clockwork animals.

Multiple Helpmann Award-winning Windmill Performing Arts and Brink Productions have joined forces to create The Clockwork Forest, combining Windmill's commitment to high-quality theatre for families with Brink's innovative approach to new Australian work. The result is a hauntingly beautiful fable, guaranteed to resonate with audiences of all ages.

Recommended for children aged 8 and above, and their families.

“If only all children's theatre was as polished and delightful... This beautifully performed story has everything including romance, friendship and villainy.”
