Rough Draft #5: Who’s The Best?

The first Rough Draft of 2010 will play host to the widely acclaimed and deliciously funny contemporary performance collective, post. Zoe Coombs Marr, Mish Grigor and Natalie Rose will have the run of Wharf 1 for a week long workshop on their latest work: Who’s The Best?

Old friends to Sydney Theatre Company after a previous creative development with us in 2009, the collective will begin to examine the nature of competition and the business of becoming the best. During the week the trio, whose previous works include the darkly comic Gifted and Talented and Shamelessly Glitzy Work, will generate material through gruelling improvisational tasks that they will then sculpt into a script.  

If you’re not yet familiar with post, join us at The Wharf for a free, one-off showing at 5pm on Saturday 20 February in Wharf 1, during which Zoe, Mish and Natalie will introduce us to this, their latest project. The showing will be a unique opportunity to delve into the creative process of this highly inventive collective and to enjoy a sneak preview of a new Australian work in progress.
