But what about what happens behind the scenes? We think you’ll find this stuff as fascinating as we do,
so we’re planning to share it with you. We want to invite you Back Stage, starting with a massive Open Day at The Wharf, on 1 November 2008 (stay tuned for further details).

Throughout 2009 we will present a series of readings both of potential new works and of old works that we want to tweak. The aim is to see how our ideas are received by an audience (yes, that’s you). We’ll continue with our ever-popular Briefings and Nights with the Actors for each and every of our Main Stage productions (you’ll find the dates on each of our Performance Pages) and the regular tours of The Wharf led by our remarkable team of volunteers (you can book in for tours via our Box Office - call (02) 9250 1777).

Our brand-spanking new website will also give you insights to the inner workings of our productions with further reading about each play, notes from the creative team, videos from the rehearsal room and much, much more. Sign up for our email newsletter and we’ll keep you updated on what’s happening on the  site.

To enhance your experience of our productions, we will be expanding our STCinema program, which  screens films that complement or expand on the themes of our productions. We’ll also be looking to introduce hosted forums and live music events designed to add to your overall STC experience. We have already begun The Wharf Sessions – post-show music at The Wharf.
