On Friday 20 March Sydney Theatre Company welcomes Bertie Blackman to perform as part of The Wharf Sessions.

Bertie burst onto the Australian music scene in 2004, with her stunning single and radio breakthrough Favourite Jeans. Her debut album, Headway, was a folk-inspired adventure, powered by acoustic guitar. The follow-up album, Black, saw Bertie armed with an electric guitar and delivering some grittier sounds.

For her newly-released third album, Secrets & Lies, Bertie has traded guitars for keyboards, exploring the electronic world. With her seductive voice, inventive and honest lyrics, Bertie is a mesmerizing live performer.
