Melbourne trio, The Suitcase Royale, are a rag ‘n bone band banging out a collection of bent and broken tunes and dance hall songs straight from the swamp. They have toured nationally and internationally for the past four years presenting works of theatre and music in festivals throughout America, the UK and Europe.
In September, Sydney Theatre Company will be presenting a 2-week season of their latest theatrical triumph, The Ballad of Backbone Joe. Not content with taking over the Wharf 2 Theatre, the lads have offered to perform this month’s Wharf Session on Friday 24 September.
The Wharf Sessions are Sydney Theatre Company’s regular series of free post-show gigs at The Wharf. Previous Wharf Sessions artists have included Bertie Blackman, The Paper Scissors, Cloud Control, Red Riders and Bridezilla.
Good times, dancing, drinking, crying and kissing. The Suitcase Royale are gonna make you sweat!
Hobo Bordeaux will perform in The Wharf Restaurant Bar area from 9.45pm followed by The Suitcase Royale.
Entry to the gig is available to all and no booking is necessary. Drinks and snacks will be available at the bar.
