On Friday 3 October, Sydney Theatre Company welcomes The Greasy Chicken Orchestra, featuring Nick Bowd (Baritone Saxophone), Phillip Johnston (Soprano Saxophone), Sandy Evans (Tenor Saxophone), Tim Rollinson (Guitar), James Greening (Tuba) and Toby Hall (Drums).

The Greasy Chicken Orchestra is a small jazz band in the "Territory Band" tradition of Kansas City, Chicago and New Orleans jazz of the '20s and '30s. Their territory is Sydney. Classic New Orleans jazz, mixed with early Duke Ellington and Jelly Roll Morton, this is early jazz at its hippest. Tunes like South Rampart Street Parade, Muskrat Ramble and Grandpa's Spells will have you tapping your toes until the early hours!
