The Wharf Sessions is a regular series of free post-show gigs at The Wharf, Sydney Theatre Company’s harbour-side home at Walsh Bay.
On Friday 28 November, Sydney Theatre Company welcomes Ursula Yovich and Band who will perform a varied selection of soul, blues and jazz.
Ursula Yovich’s distinctive and deeply soulful voice is infused with the richness and power of the two cultures that course through her blood - Western European and Australian Aboriginal. Born in the tiny Aboriginal community of Maningrida, Ursula has become one of Australia’s most popular performers.
Ursula is well known to Sydney Theatre Company audiences, having performed in The Sunshine Club, The 7 Stages of Grieving, Afternoon of the Elves and most recently Romeo and Juliet.
Ursula has worked with almost every prominent theatre company in the country. In 2007 she was awarded the 2007 Helpmann Award for her performance in Capricornia.
Entry to the gig is free and open to all. No booking is necessary. Drinks at reduced prices are available.
