The Tragedy Workshop will be directed by Naomi Edwards and feature Oedipus Tyrannus and Death of a Salesman. Beginning with an explanation of the social and cultural contexts of both plays, the workshop will then move into an examination of the dramatic elements of the classical tragedy Oedipus Tyrannus, compared to the modern tragedy Death of a Salesman.
Using physical theatre, improvisation and storytelling, this workshop will provide practical hints for creating a devised performance.
This workshop will be facilitated by esteemed director Lee Lewis who will guide four performers through key scenes from Mother Courage, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Threepenny Opera and Life of Galileo.
