Sydney Theatre Company is taking the magic of storytelling to a whole new level in a delightful and interactive show of for children aged 3 years and up.
We invite you and your youngest to play in the world of ‘theatre in miniature’ - but beware there will be nothing minute about our unrestrained imaginative ride through some of Aesop’s Fables!
Grandma knows all. Grandma sees all. Grandma forgets sometimes, and needs our help. She will get us into mischief too as she takes us into her wild imagination full of crazy adventures, fun characters and exciting tales! Be thrilled as Grandma tells irreverent versions of classic Aesop fables including The Hare and The Tortoise, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and The Fox and The Stork.
Combining classic storytelling, physical theatre and a whole bag of fun, Actor On A Box: Aesop's Fables is designed to introduce the magic of theatre to our youngest audience. Staged in the beautiful Richard Wherrett Studio at Sydney Theatre, this production is a joyful and enticing theatrical ride into these timeless tales of goodness, friendship, determination and imagination.
Directed by Naomi Edwards and performed by Georgia Adamson our highly theatrical and playful exploration of Aesop’s Fables will introduce our youngest theatre goers to the joy of these timeless stories.
