• Private Giving Program

Over the past few years, the STC Foundation has focused its support on the Company’s education and artform development programs. Funds supported student tickets and workshops, professional development opportunities for teachers, pilot projects and programs, new commissions, and helping young theatre makers hone their skills.

While these areas will continue to benefit from STC Foundation funding, we believe that it is also important for the Foundation to invest in ensuring STC has the capacity to continue presenting a diverse range of high quality theatre. We want to keep presenting the very best theatrical experiences we can for you, large casts or small, extravagant staging or minimal; ensuring that there is the right program mix across each year. Additionally, our program of international collaborations is important in bringing the best to Sydney and making sure that the best Australian work gets overseas. Investment in new Australian theatre and artists is a responsibility we enthusiastically embrace.

Box Office income alone cannot be relied on to ensure the Company's dynamic mix and range remains sustainable into the future, and this points to the ever growing importance of philanthropic giving. Costs are escalating yet we are committed to keeping ticket prices as low as possible. With government funding trends flat, we see philanthropic revenue as the most important opportunity for funding our work at the scale, diversity and excellence you are used to.

Donations of $100 and above are recognised on our website and donations of $500 and above are acknowledged in STC Main Stage production programs and on our donor board at the Wharf Theatre for a 12-month period from the date of donation.
