Since 1986, the Pier Group has banded together to raise funds that meet immediate needs of the Sydney Theatre Company. Over the past 20 years they have done this through a variety of lively, entertaining and sometimes outrageous fundraising events. Their enthusiasm and commitment is celebrated by the company and their efforts have supported a number of behind the scenes projects including:

* establishing an Archives Department;
* contributing to a lift for wheelchair access in the Wharf 1 theatre;
* supporting the development new Australian playwriting;
* establishing the STC Library;
* funding the Sydney Theatre Green Room fit-out;
* funding new Dressing Rooms for Wharf 2,
* installing air conditioning for the two Wharf Rehearsal Rooms; and
* funding our shiny new STC truck.
