In choosing to partner The STC Actors Company, Audi responded to STC’s vision to create a resident ensemble that would seek to progress performance to new levels.
In 2007, when the opportunity arose to become STC Principal Sponsor, both STC and Audi saw it as a natural evolution of the strong relationship they had already built. Audi’s progression to Principal Sponsor represents its most significant cultural sponsorship in Australia, and reflects the company’s strong commitment to the arts worldwide. Culture is an important part of Audi’s heritage, and as a company with a strong local focus they are committed to supporting the arts in Australia.
The Principal Sponsorship contribution assists STC in its entire operations which each year include:
- eleven Main Stageproductions
- audience and art form development streams: STC Education and Next Stage
- the fundraising activities of the STC Foundation
