Get Involved

Sydney Theatre Company offers a range of free and ticketed events designed to give you further insight into our plays. Quiz the cast at Audi Night with the Actors, hear about the creative process at pre-season briefings, meet like-minded people at Matinee Club and dine with artists at Pier Group Lunches.

Visiting The Wharf is a great Sydney experience, but being a part of it is even more rewarding. There are lots of ways to become involved; to help us out, join old friends, or meet new ones. Find out more below.

Audi Night with the Actors

Quiz the actors! You can ask questions of the actors if you purchase a ticket to an Audi Night with the Actors performance. After the show, the cast will come back on stage and you can find out more about their experience of making the work.

Pre-season briefings

About two weeks before most opening nights we hold a pre-season briefing at The Wharf with the cast and key creatives. This is your perfect chance to find out more about the creative process which will help you get more out of the play when you see it.

Tickets are complimentary. Reserve your seats here.

Matinee Club

Perhaps you attend our mid-week matinee performances on your own, or would like to make the acquaintance of your fellow Season Ticket Holders. The STC Matinee Club is a wonderful way to join old friends, or make new ones at our matinee performances.

If you've selected the Matinee Club performance as part of your Season Ticket, you'll be invited to join us one hour prior to the performance for complimentary refreshments. This is your chance to meet like-minded theatre-goers and compare notes about the Season. Contact Box Office for more details on (02) 9250 1777.

Pier Group

Since 1986, the Pier Group has raised funds for STC through lively, entertaining and sometimes outrageous fundraising events. The group's enthusiasm and generosity have supported many behind the scenes projects including establishing an Archives Department and STC Library, the lift for wheelchair access, the development new Australian playwriting, Roslyn Packer Theatre Green Room fit-out, Wharf 2 Dressing Rooms, Rehearsal Rooms air-conditioning, and even for a shiny new STC truck!

Find out about upcoming events.

Special thanks must go to our Pier Group Committee Members: Anne Schofield (Chair), Peggy Carter, Eve Heath, Graham Jennings, Richard Lyle and Virginia Pearce and also to all of you who support their many fundraising efforts.
