A Flea in Her Ear was originally written by Georges Feydeau in Paris in 1907. It was a time in French history that would later be referred to as the Belle Époque – a period of peace and cultural innovation, of Art Nouveau, Post-Impressionism, Émile Zola and Colette. To get in the mood, we picked out some of the hit pop songs of that era in a playlist, and then went a playlist further with some more recent French musical gems. Enjoy!
