Sydney Theatre Company is partnering with Belvoir St Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, Griffin Theatre Company and and National Theatre of Parramatta to hold general auditions from Monday 3 Feb – Friday 14 Feb 2025.
This is an open call for performers of all backgrounds and experiences to meet and share their work with the Artistic Teams of the theatre companies. Although these auditions are not for specific roles in upcoming productions, they are an opportunity for actors to connect with Artistic Teams for consideration across their development and
mainstage programs. We are looking for actors who fit the below criteria:
• Over 18 years of age;
• At least three years of training or three years of acting experience outside of high school
drama activities. This could be in stage or screen;
• Preference will be given to actors who have not performed for any of the listed theatre
companies;
• Are Sydney based and are able to attend an in person audition on the dates specified above.

Audition info
Artists will be asked to prepare two short contrasting monologues and an acapella song (should the artist be comfortable singing) each no longer than two minutes in duration. Auditions slots will be for 15 minutes only and will include discussion with the panel prior to presenting any prepared material.
The panel will be made up of members of Belvoir St Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, Griffin Theatre Company, and National Theatre of Parramatta and Sydney Theatre Company Artistic Teams.
Auditions will be held at Sydney Theatre Company, Pier 4/5 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay.

If artists are currently represented by an agency, it is preferable that submission are made through the agent.
Please note the due to the large volume of submissions we receive, an application does not guarantee an audition. Should your application be successful, you will receive a date and time for your audition approximately two (2) weeks before your audition date. Once an audition date and time has been confirmed, it is unable to be changed.
