Booking Tickets

A transaction fee of $8.95 applies. There is no fee for Season Ticket bookings made online. Season Tickets purchased over the phone, via booking form and in person incur a booking fee of $15.00. Access bookings made via any channel do not incur a booking fee.

  • We offer concession priced tickets to holders of the following:

    • Australian Seniors Card (government issued, season tickets only)

    • Pensioner Concession Card (excluding Health Card Cards)

    • Veterans Affairs Card

    • Carers or Companion Card

    • Current Full Time Student Card

    • Valid proof of age ID if you are under 30 years old. 

    Concessions must be valid at the time of booking and apply per person. Concession tickets will not be issued until valid ID has been presented to our Box Office when picking up tickets, or an upgrade fee may be payable.

Babies under 2 years that can be held or sat on your lap and do not occupy a seat are free of charge. Children 24 months and older are required to have a paid ticket. If you are planning on bringing a baby under 2 years, please see the Box Office on the day of your performance to obtain a babies in arms ticket.

eTickets. Your tickets will be emailed to the main booker/credit card holder 2 days prior to each performance. Your tickets can be displayed and scanned on a smartphone. There is one page per seat.

Collect tickets at the venue. If you have selected Box Office collect, you can collect all your Season Tickets from the venue Box Office on the day of your first performance. Bookings with concession tickets will be provided after proof of concession is supplied.

Contact us as soon as you realise you have lost your ticket/s on (02) 9250 1777 or visit the Box Office on the day of your show, at least 45 minutes prior to the performance start time.

If your ticket is part of a group booking in one name, please provide the seat number of the lost ticket. The person that made the booking should have access to the seat numbers so you can figure out which one is the lost ticket. 

We offer discounted pricing for groups with more than 10 people for most productions. Please call our Box Office on (02) 9250 1777 for more information.

Sydney Theatre Company is the main authorised ticket seller for Sydney Theatre Company events. Tickets for certain events can also be purchased via Sydney Opera House,Ticketmaster, and TodayTix.

If you purchase tickets from an unauthorised seller you risk that these tickets are fake, void or have previously been cancelled and that you may be refused admission to the relevant Event. We strongly recommend you only purchase tickets from an authorised ticket seller. You can contact our Box Office to confirm if a ticket seller is authorised. Exchanges, Refunds and Cancellations

External Productions at our venues: for productions presented by organisations other than Sydney Theatre Company, ticket exchange and refund policies are determined by the presenting company’s terms and conditions.

STC Productions: Ticket exchanges are available for most Sydney Theatre Company productions, up to 24 hours before your performance.

You can exchange your tickets to another date of the same production, subject to availability and some conditions. Please have your ticket number ready to make the exchange.

STC Season Ticket Holders

If you are the primary subscriber you can exchange online via your My STC account, by email to [email protected] or by calling Box Office (02) 9250 1777. Please have your ticket number ready to make the exchange.

If you are a co-subscriber you may still exchange tickets independently providing you have the ticket(s) in your possession. You can do this either in person or by calling our Box Office.

Once tickets are booked they are non-refundable. Full refunds are only offered for specific and unusual circumstances, such as an event cancellation. All tickets sold by STC are issued subject to the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice, which details conditions regarding refunds. 

Yes, but please advise our Box Office and provide contact details for the new ticket holders. 

If any tickets are concession tickets please be aware proof of concession is required, or a fee may be charged to upgrade to a full price ticket.

Unfortunately we cannot exchange tickets from a past performance — if you have missed your performance you will need to purchase another ticket.

If your performance has been cancelled, our Box Office will be in touch with the person who made the booking to discuss next steps. Further details are available in our terms and conditions of sale.

If you have booked through a third party agency (e.g. Sydney Opera House or Ticketmaster) please contact them directly and they will take care of your request.
