Genre-defying singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke launches her new album The Kiss and the Abyss. A striking fusion of gothic folk music, theatrical storytelling, cinematic soundscapes, and avant-garde textures, the new album finds one of Australia’s most singular voices at her most fearless, expansive and self-assured.
Join Kate, with longtime collaborator Keir Nuttall on guitar, as she performs a wide selection of tracks from the album, alongside the songs that have made her one of the most acclaimed and respected singers, songwriters, and creative forces in contemporary Australian music.
With Special Guest: Xani Kolac
Xani has never seen much point in sticking to one genre. Singer/songwriter and electric violinist, Xani makes expansive, ecstatic music where art pop, folk, rock and jazz all happily coexist. It’s an approach that has led to an invitation to perform with John Cale on his Australian tour, to opening for Hania Rani, to earning an Australian Music Prize nomination for her 2025 rock album “Keep Moving”. The result is a live show that leaves audiences wondering how one person can make so much noise.
