A gift in your Will - also called a legacy or bequest - is a meaningful way to support Sydney Theatre Company. 

It’s a vote of confidence in what STC creates: in the actors under the lights, the playwrights creating new stories, and the audiences leaning forward in anticipation. 

Most of all, a gift in your Will reflects your values. It’s a heartfelt way to honour what has mattered to you in your lifetime and create an enduring connection to the theatre you love. 

By including STC in your Will, you can help ensure this vibrant, communal space continues for generations to come.

SoulMates

Some relationships with theatre last a lifetime.  

SoulMates are Sydney Theatre Company’s extended family - people who believe theatre matters, and who’ve chosen to keep it thriving through a gift in their Will. 

The program is called SoulMates because we believe those who have included STC in their Will are kindred spirits. They love Sydney Theatre Company and want its magic to outlive them.  

If you notify us of your intention to leave a gift to STC in your Will, you’ll be invited to become a SoulMate. While it isn’t obligatory to join, if you decide to, you’ll meet a wonderfully diverse group of theatre lovers of all ages and backgrounds. You’ll receive invitations to special events and receive exclusive updates about the Company.

SoulMates FAQs

Gifts in Wills enable Sydney Theatre Company to create more world-class theatre, support artistic development, provide education and community activities, invest in new work and improve access to our programs.  

After talking to your loved ones about your intentions, we recommend that you seek professional guidance from a lawyer, accountant or tax advisor about writing your Will and the type of gift best suited to you. If you already have a Will, a simple amendment known as a codicil may be all that’s needed. 

No. However, letting us know allows us to thank you personally and celebrate your generosity. Those who let us know are invited to join our legacy circle STC SoulMates.
