It is more cost effective to purchase a Season Ticket than purchasing single tickets on a casual basis through the year. If you’re renewing by post, we encourage you to send your booking ASAP. All posted bookings are processed in order of receipt. Renewals are processed first, and new Season Tickets are processed from 5 Oct. 

The option to purchase Extra Single Tickets at a discounted price - on top of the seats included in your Season Ticket - is offered to all Season Ticket Holders. We offer these discounts so that Season Ticket Holders can add guests to their party as needed and to ensure that Season Ticket Holders can access discounted tickets across the Season - great for gifts!

You will have the option of adding Extra Single Tickets to your Season Ticket selection within your online shopping cart, after you’ve selected your Season Ticket seats, or on your booking form.

Special Offers are extra shows that are not part of our main season but are made available exclusively for our Season Ticket Holders to pre-purchase at a discounted rate before they go on sale to the general public.

In 2019 our Special Offer shows are The Wharf Revue 2019 and White Pearl. You can add tickets to these Special Offers shows when completing your Season Ticket order online, or on your booking form.

Tickets to individual shows are released from Dec 2018 through to Feb 2019. See plays pages for on sale dates. In the meantime, plays are available as part of a Season Ticket of 6 or more plays. A Season Ticket is the best way to purchase tickets – Season Ticket Holders save at least 20% on full-price single tickets, get first access to the best seats, the flexibility to swap dates and pay in instalments, and many more benefits. 

Yes! Season Ticket Holders are entitled to unlimited free exchanges on their Season Tickets, subject to availability and some conditions. Exchanges open for 2019 Season Ticket Holders from 19 Nov 2018.

We do offer unlimited free exchanges to Season Ticket Holders on their Season Tickets, subject to availability and some conditions. Find out more. 

No, we only accept Season Ticket bookings online and by mail using our booking form.

We offer concessions to Pensioners, full-time students, Seniors, unemployed and Under 30s (29 and under at the time of purchase). The appropriate ID, concession or membership card must be provided at the time of booking.

Concessions apply per person and valid proof of concession for each concession ticket booked must be supplied via email (seasontickets@sydneytheatrecom.au) if you’re booking online or attached to your booking form.

When booking your Season Ticket online, we accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express. You can also redeem a Sydney Theatre Company gift voucher. 

We also offer deferred payments, which is an easy way to spread the cost of your Season Ticket across 4 instalments. NB: you cannot use gift vouchers or PayPal when using our deferred payment option.

If you’re using our booking form, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express. You can also send us a cheque made out to Sydney Theatre Company. We also accept Sydney Theatre Company gift vouchers, just attach to your form. 

Deferred payments are an easy way to spread the cost of your Season Ticket. There are 4 instalments:

1. The first instalment of 25% is paid at the time of purchase
2. The second instalment of 25% is due on 4 Feb 2019
3. The third instalment of 25% is due on 4 Mar 2019
4. The final instalment of 25% is due on 4 Apr 2019

We charge a $10 fee for deferred payments, which is included in the total of your Season Ticket. The deadline to purchase using the deferred payment option is 28 Dec 2018. We cannot accept PayPal or gift vouchers with this feature. Please note that your credit card must have an expiry date beyond 4 Apr 2019.

You can choose to have your tickets mailed, or you can print your tickets at home. You have the ability to choose this when booking online or on your paper booking form.

If you choose the ‘print at home’ option, we will email your tickets as a PDF. You will need to print them out, one ticket per page. Bring your print out to the theatre to be scanned at the door.

Please note, print at home tickets is not available for large group bookings of 10+ people, or bookings that include concession tickets.

Season Ticket bookings with concession tickets will be mailed after proof of concession is provided.

We aim to be as precise as possible on the duration of a play in all our materials however due to the nature of the artistic process and live theatre, the duration is often updated once each play goes into rehearsal, and can change during a play's run, particularly with new works and adaptations.

The most up-to-date information is provided in our pre-show emails, on our website and in our theatre foyers. We encourage you to check our website or call Box Office on (02) 9250 1777 before your performance. Opt-in to receive our pre-show emails.

Content warnings on each play are subject to change. We aim to be as clear in our materials as possible as we do not wish to offend personal sensibilities and values. In our annual Season brochure and on this website we include language, violence, nudity, and smoking warnings and an indication of the themes and subject matter of each play. Sometimes this includes warnings about content that could potentially be triggering. Due to the nature of the artistic process and live theatre, content warnings are often updated once each play goes into rehearsal, and can change during a play's run, particularly with new works and adaptations. We post warnings outside the entrance to the auditorium about strobe lighting, smoke machines, very loud noise, gunfire and smoking.
